A Peek Outside the Outer Door

What others are doing with the same (or less effective) working tools.

This week I watched a two-hour live stream put on by some of the top names in motivational speaking, Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi. Further they had Jim Kwik (Memory guru) and several others come on for short presentations. What was the theme? “Gain an unfair advantage with the Mastermind Business System.” 10,000 people were watching them tell people they can do something with their lives and talents.

In the United States alone, the Self-Improvement Industry (yes, Industry – it IS well established) was at $1.9B in 2019 with a projected growth of 4.1% per year. This includes books, e-platforms, personal coaching/training, and workshops and seminars. People are looking for and buying things they believe will improve their lives.

The message that is being given for those who buy is actually quite simple:

  • Believe in yourself
  • Be honest and tempered in all of your dealings
  • Become a “Lifelong Learner”
  • Expect to work hard to achieve
  • Work with a group of like-minded individuals

Any of this sound familiar? It should. We have had the tools for (at least) 300 years.
